We’re a unique food truck, more like an outdoor restaurant with an amazing courtyard seating area on Main Street in downtown Gunnison.  We offer breakfast and lunch items daily (closed on Wednesdays), and have over ten specialties on our menu, including our unique Huevos Burnellos, Stuffed French Toast, Biscuits and Local Elk Chorizo gravy, Shrimp and Grits with Bacon, and so much more.

We started on June 18th, 2017, though our initial vision was to build a restaurant in our home on Main Street.  When it became too costly, we changed the plan to become a food truck with a fun, community-oriented outdoor courtyard for dining enjoyment.

The dynamic and personable chef duo of Denise and Kevin Reinert are the perfect match for this food truck project, receiving rave reviews and top ratings mere weeks after opening last summer. Named after Kevin’s maternal family in Illinois, and capitalizing on the farm fresh concept the name implies, Burnell’s features inventive gourmet meals focusing on local ingredients. Denise comes to the kitchen with over 22 years in the culinary industry. The couple owned and operated Crested Butte’s Elizabeth Anne Bed & Breakfast serving decadent breakfasts and connoisseur-driven evening wine and food pairings for their guests. Their creative fare finds its muse in two gastronomic powerhouses — New Orleans and Santa Fe — combined with Denise’s Southern roots and proclivity towards elevated comfort food.
